Advisory Group
The group's role is to guide the centre in its activities and monitor progress in achieving its aims. Through twice-yearly meetings and a mailing list its members have the opportunity to guide centre strategy and review centre activities.

Terms of Reference
The Advisory Group should:
- provide advice, support and critical analysis for the benefit of the Economics Network.
- act as a forum for the input from key stakeholders to help shape Economics Network activities.
- act as a channel for advice and information on subject related matters between the Economics Network, Advisory Group and the senior executive of the Academy.
- advise on the Economics Network’s development of its strategic and operational plans and progress.
- receive reports on current activity, annual reports and monitoring reports provided by the Economics Network to the senior executive.
- receive and discuss evaluation reports.
- champion the work of the centre with subject associations and other constituencies and bring feedback to the centre from these.

when necessary and jointly with the relevant member of the senior executive of the Academy and host institution, appoint the centre Director.

Membership
The formation of the Advisory Group is based on:
- No fewer than 8 members
- Independent Chair (independent of Economics Network staff)
- CHUDE (Conference of Heads of University Departments of Economics) representation
- Postgraduate representation
- Employer/user representation
- University of Bristol representation
- Cognate Subject Centre representation
The formation of the Advisory Board should take into account:
- Diversity balance of members
- Diversity of HEIs in subject constituency
- UK wide coverage.
The terms of office for members should enable continuity and suitable rotation over a 2-3 year period.
Meetings will usually be twice-yearly in May and November.
