Rebecca Taylor is currently Professor of Economics and Dean of the Business School at the Open University. Previously she was Associate Dean of Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University. She has been a Departmental Contact for the Economics Network and a member of the Advisory Group for several years.

Rebecca has directed a number of collaborative projects which developed learning materials for use by the sector. There include Mathematics for Economics: Enhancing Teaching and Learning (METAL) which has developed resources for level 1 maths for economics; Teaching Resources for Undergraduate Economics (TRUE) which shares resources for second and third year options and DeSTRESS which aims to create and share statistical resources for the social sciences.

She works with the Network on a part-time basis, helping to direct the Network strategically as well as leading on many of the national and departmental workshops. She has written the "Seminars" and "Designing undergraduate degree programmes" chapters of our Handbook for Economics Lecturers as well as case studies on Linking Student Presentations to Exams and "Additional Workshop Sessions in Quantitative Economics".
